Cable Airport - Upland CA
Desiring something new, I went to eat breakfast at Manic Mike's Cafe at Cable Airport in Upland, California. I heard that the food is very good and one has a view of planes landing and taking off. The cafe lived up to the good reports I had heard of it.

LA Live Steamers - Union Pacific
Los Angeles Live Steamers are located in Griffin Park in Los Angeles California next to Travel Town. Riding on their trains is a lot of fun and highly recommended by me.

Orange, California has an old Santa Fe Depot which serves Metrolink and Amtrak passenger trains.

The old Pomona Train Station use to serve Southern Pacific trains traveling from Los Angeles Union Station to New Orleans, Louisiana.
Coffee Depot - Riverside CA
The Coffee Depot in Riverside California is a very beautiful old Union Pacific Railroad train station. Actually built by a railroad that Union Pacific purchased. The Coffee Depot is a nice place to hang out at and there activities can be monitored at http://www.coffeedepot.tv.

Claremont California Flickr Group
I have added a few of my Flickr images of the Claremont CA area to this Flickr Group. My most viewed Flickr photo-stream images continue to be military tanks on Yuma Proving Ground in the Arizona desert. My recent addition of train images has gotten a bit of traffic, but the military tank images still continue to be the most popular. Since I have yet to find a military tank within the village of Claremont, CA; none of the images that I have added to the Claremont California Flickr Group is of a tank.

17601 Fitch Avenue Irvine California Today
I am spending a night in the three month old Marriott SpringHill Suites in Irvine California. This new hotel is sitting on the ground where the old Faith Defenders building of Faith Defenders Church, Inc. use to stand. The Faith Defenders building was leveled and hauled to a California landfill to make room for this new hotel.

USS Midway
Sometime ago, I went to San Diego to see the USS Midway. Then I misplaced the digital photos that I took of the ship. The photos were recently found on one of my laptop computers and uploaded to Flickr.
Solvang Danish Windmill
I didn't just see the old Spanish Mission in Solvang. I wandered around the Danish themed town and ate some Danish food. I love Danish pancakes.
Mission Santa Ines
While in the Lompoc, California area, I visited Mission Santa Ines in nearby Solvang. This is one of the original Spanish Missions on the California Mission Trail. One of the few Spanish Missions that has never been abandoned in California.

Amtrak Surfliner @ Surf Beach CA
After finishing my project in the Lompoc California area, I traveled down the road a bit to Surf Beach California. There is a lot of surf there as well as an Amtrak train station.
I love trains and I enjoy riding on the Amtrak Surfliner.

The Tilted Kilt - San Diego, CA
Went down to San Diego for a meeting today. My office mate had a desire to eat lunch at "The Tilted Kilt"; but I ponder if he really desired fine food or eye candy. I had no idea that the gals at "The Tilted Kilt" wear less than your typical Hooters girl. If they wore anything less, it would be a Topless Bar. The food was OK, but not great. Naturally, the food was a bit high priced.
